Lakeside Press is located at 1334 Williamson Street, in the heart of Madison's historic Near East Side. Lakeside has been the printer of choice for Madison's alternative community and the Williamson-Marquette neighborhood for two decades, and while we have changed to meet the needs of our community, expanding to offer services such as self-serve digital copiers, color copying and digital design, we continue to offer an affordable and quality mix of traditional offset and the newest in print solutions.

We have grown with the times and can offer a fully digital workflow for most jobs, from a handful of photo prints or business cards, to the largest binder punched course packet or saddle stitched newsletter. Our in-house capabilities include:

Madison's Community Copy Shop

In addition to our professional production capabilities, we are Madison's only neighborhood copy shop, offering nearly all our equipment and services on a walk-in basis for anyone to use. We have become a favorite meeting spot and our walls are lined with information on upcoming community events, pertinent issues, and historic Madison lore.

Our black and white copiers and our incredible CLC 1100 digital color copier are available for walk-in use, as is a PC networked to our printers and connected to our high speed Internet connection. We have an in-house wireless network available as well, for printing and browsing. And we are open from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. during the week and noon to 6 on Saturdays, to provide the community with maximum access to the tools we provide.

Where most shops in the industry throw up walls, often literally, between their customers and the work that goes on behind the scenes, we believe in eliminating these barriers as much as possible. We will help you maximize your printing budget and improve the visual impact of your work, and we will help you understand the equipment and technology that we use, to help you make the best and most informed use of our printing resources.

As a community centered worker collective, Lakeside is not the means to any single person's personal wealth. Instead, we exist to enrich the community. For this reason, we stand alone among Madison's copy and print shops, providing a quality product at reasonable price with the best possible service and dedication.
